This event is by community and for community. We are looking for performers, speakers, presenters, volunteers, vendors and resource providers to share their voices, tools and expertise at. StaceyFest is intended to be a transformative community gathering for people with disabilities living and visiting Oakland. StaceyFest’s programming will focus on disability networks and culture. We invite disabled community to help us make this powerful and joyous celebration happen.
Are you disabled? We see this in a broad way including neurodivergence and chronic illness.
We welcome storytellers, performance artists, writers, workshop facilitators, artists and speakers to submit works on the following themes:
- Life, Visibility, Love and Joy
- Stacey’s Legacy of work including her work during the California wildfires, housing advocacy, COVID and care rationing
Disability culture has many forms. If you’re a disabled performer/speaker, even if you don’t identify your work as having a disability theme, we want to hear from you!
Do you or your organization have powerful resources that our community should know about? Are your resources based in community driven connectivity and care? Would you like to have a space to let others know who you are and what you do?
If you’re a disabled artisan or maker, even if you don’t identify your work as having a disability theme, we want to hear from you! Vendors who are selling items must be licensed to sell in the city of Oakland.
We need your help! StaceyFest is looking for volunteers for our in-person event on July 20th 2024 from 10am until 7pm. If you can spare some time to help out, it would be greatly appreciated. Even just a few hours can make a big difference!
