StaceyFest is a new disability justice culture festival and an opportunity to celebrate the memory and ongoing legacy of renowned disability justice advocate Stacey Park Milbern.

Our first in person festival took place on Saturday, July 20th 2024, 12pm to 5pm PST at Frank Ogawa Plaza 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA 94612.

For Stacey’s bday (which is also the same day of her passing) on May 19th, let’s celebrate her life and legacy by enjoying some #BobaWithStacey! She loved having boba with her friends and dear ones, and we can all follow her example of finding joy in simple pleasures.

We prioritize the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of disabled, D(d)eaf, neurodiverse, and chronically ill communities. As this is our inaugural StaceyFest--as well as a Disability Justice event by/for/of disabled peoples, we acknowledge that imperfections, mistakes, and oversights are inevitable--and invite you to bring your concerns and comments to Rawiyah Tariq via the information booth or staceyfestprogramdirector@gmail.com post-event.
